This hallway screen in a Victorian house had previously been glazed with sixties glass and was in desperate need of an overhaul.
The design is simple, using four elements: the blue roundels, the red border, the lines which continue between panels giving cohesion, and the clear baroque glass which distorts the background.
The red border and the blue roundels are both devices which appear in traditional stained glass; here they are used in a more contemporary way, combining history with modernity.
