Terms and Conditions
Class agreement
As the class teacher, I endeavour to make classes safe, fun, and friendly for all. Please be aware of other people’s needs and help to maintain this positive atmosphere.
Please be aware of your own safety and that of other people around you. Taking risks or being absent minded causes accidents. The Glass Loft takes every precaution to ensure your safety and wellbeing but is not responsible for injury.
Entry to the workshop is at the time stated, or five minutes beforehand, so that you enter an organised setting.
Mobile phone usage is ok, but please take it outside the classroom to avoid distraction for other students.
Your workspace should be thoroughly cleaned up and swept at the end of the lesson for safety reasons. All tools used should be put back in the correct place so other students can find them.
I know students are enthusiastic, but please keep to only one person at a time talking to me!
If you would like free tea or coffee, please consider taking your turn to help prepare drinks for the class or to wash up.
One-off workshop attendance
Please ensure you arrive on time so that we can start on time.
All tools and tea and coffee are provided. You may want to bring an apron.
Cancellations more than 21 days prior to the workshop - an alternative workshop place or voucher will be offered, or money paid will be refunded in full.
Cancellations between 21 days and 7 days prior to the workshop – an alternative workshop place or voucher will be offered, or a refund will be paid (minus £10 admin fee) providing in both circumstances the student place is re-sold.
Cancellations less than 7 days prior to the workshop - an alternative workshop place or voucher will be offered (minus £10 admin fee) providing the student place is resold.
If the class is cancelled for any reason, I will fully refund money paid.
Regular Class attendance
Whilst I am aware that life sometimes gets in the way, it is the student’s responsibility to attend their class. If attendance is not possible, there is no automatic replacement class provided, any catch-up is discretionary and offered in goodwill.
The offer of another class is dependent on the following factors:
Prior communication of absence if possible
Availability of space in another class
Catch-up only within current term for logistical reasons
Maximum 2 catch-up sessions in a term.
If a catch up session is missed, it cannot be replaced and there will be no further offers of catch up that term. Admin time and spaces are limited.
Commissions
I provide a free no obligation initial visit for discussion of a possible project.
Bespoke designs will be provided for a set fee. This is refundable on conclusion of the commission process.
On deciding to go ahead with the project, a contract stating all details and costs will be drawn up for clarity, and will be signed by both parties.
Fitting of the panel by a recommended third-party can be arranged.
