Stained Glass Classes

at Regency House, Brislington, Bristol

BS4 5QH

I teach stained and fused glass in small friendly classes, and each class has students with a broad range of experience working on their individual projects. I teach at all levels, from beginner’s skills through to more complex techniques and designing, and I teach three terms a year which have 10 weeks each (no classes in half term holidays).

In your first term, you can make at least 3 projects, one in each technique of fusing, copper foiling and traditional leadwork. There will be an additional small charge for materials, depending on your choices, around £20. If you have other ideas I am very flexible and will happily design your course around you.

In subsequent terms students work on their individual chosen projects at their own pace, and have the use of a well equipped studio which has a large fusing kiln. I provide information, advice and support throughout, and facilitate you in your creative process.

My new studio is a real gem, with both views across meadows and hills and the City of Bristol. You can see all the way over to Clifton Suspension bridge on a clear day! It is calm and inspiring, and well lit both day and night.

We are 3 miles from Bristol City Centre on the A4 which runs from Bristol to Bath, with bus stops a 5 minute walk away. There is off-road and on-road parking available.

Please note this venue is accessed by stairs and may be challenging for those with restricted mobility. There are handrails to help.

“I am really enjoying the course. I live a very hectic life with a huge amount of stress and Monday evenings doing the course are my saviour. I find them relaxing, fun, creative and just what I need” - Sally B

The Summer term runs from late April to July.
