Art Deco panel

This window is made of two panels and is above the inner entrance door to The Wine Bar in Keynsham, near Bristol.

The central diamond shape forms the focus, uniting the two panels. The deep colour of the gold pink attracts the eye, and is surrounded by a deep green to add contrast and ‘weight’. This shape is then interrupted by quarter circles arranged in an assymetrical design which add movement to the piece. Paler colours are used in the outer areas, and the use of yellow gives the window a golden feel. The glass used has small striations which glisten in the changing light.
